“Wings of Angels to me means comfort,” says breast cancer survivor Linda Fischer. She knows just how important comfort can be after an involved surgery like a mastectomy. That’s why she started a recovery care basket business, Wings of Angels, which provides care and hope to women who are recovering from breast cancer surgery.

People become overweight for many reasons. Weight issues can run in families. They can be caused by unhealthy behaviors and a person’s environment. Certain health problems and medicines can also lead to unwanted weight gain.

(Hanover) -- More than 20 years ago, Lynn Eib was a busy, young mother to three small daughters. Then, her doctor delivered some devastating news: She had stage III colon cancer. Now, Eib's cancer-free and working as a cancer patient advocate to help others who are going through what she once did.

“One year and five days after I started working for the American Cancer Society, I was diagnosed with stage I testicular cancer, and it happened to be my brother’s birthday as well: January 8th, 2007.”
