Almost 12 million Americans are living with some form of cancer and it's expected another 1.5 million will be diagnosed this year.  There are certain healthy foods that help fight cancer.  It just so happens that many of these foods fit into a healthy lifestyle period.

Smoking is the #1 cause of preventable death in the U.S., causing over 393,000 deaths per year.  And, secondhand smoke is a serious health hazard for people of all ages, and is estimated to cause close to 50,000 deaths each year. The American Cancer Society is marking the 36th Great American Smokeout on November 17, 2011 by encouraging smokers to use the date to make a plan to quit, or to plan in advance and quit smoking that day.

Cancers of the colon and the rectum are the third most common cancer in US men and women.  The American Cancer Society estimates that there will101,340 new cases of colon cancer in 2011.  And, colorectal cancer is the second leading cause of cancer-related deaths in the United States.  But, there’s good news.
