There is a lot of responsibility that comes with being a caregiver for someone.  Some of this responsibility includes going to the doctor, preparing meals, cleaning and doing the laundry.  Aside from these day to day needs of the patient, a caregiver oftentimes offers emotional support to help the patient cope with their disease as well. 

When should you call for professional help?

The National Cancer Institute says you can call the patient’s doctor or nurse for help in any of the following situations:
